TEGEWA - Internationalisation of the Association’s work

Work on data documentation and studies related to the toxicity and biodegradability of surfactants in the early 1970s showed the inevitable need for supranational co-operation: Rivers like the Rhine, into which flowed sewage from the treatment plants, including surfactants laden waste water, did not stop at national borders.

The course of chemistry and environmental legislation being set in Brussels and the EU developing into a domestic market, the need for TEGEWA co-operation and advocacy on the international stage has become obvious. Listed below are our principal partners in co-operation.
