EFfCI
CESIO is the European committee of surfactants. The name is an acronym of the full name “Comité Européen des Agents de Surface et de leurs Intermédiaires Organiques“ (in English: ‘European Committee of organic surfactants and their intermediates’). The committee was founded in 1974 to establish an international platform for discussion and solution of problems facing European manufacturers of surfactants and their intermediates. The responsibilities of the CESIO are to represented and promote the interests of its members at European level by:
  •         Promoting a full understanding of the contribution the surfactant industry makes to modern society
  •         Establishing and maintaining close contacts with national and international institutions and authorities in the EU
  •         Discussing with the relevant international institutions of surfactant industries important questions such as: biodegradability, toxicity, water quality, health, packaging, labelling, transport and customs issues
  •         Collecting and distributing statistical information on production, consumption, supply and use of organic surfactants and their intermediates
  •         Promoting and developing of analytical and other valuable test methods for industry.
