Competences

TEGEWA is characterized by a particular proximity between the members as well as between the management and the member companies. Many members see the personal contact with the TEGEWA management as a key strength – the communication channels are short and service-mindedness is given high priority.

TEGEWA sees its central task in providing specialised knowledge for the benefit of its members within the chemical industry’s network. Regarding the implementation of general chemical topics into operational praxis, the association offers both generic and specific support for its member companies.

Authorities and institutions as well as associations of the customer industry appreciate TEGEWA as a solution-oriented cooperation partner, willing to compromise and maintaining an open discourse with the stakeholders.

TEGEWA can look back on successful collaborations inter alia with the Oeko-Institut, the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI), the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences  as well as the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals-Gruppe (ZDHC).

Whether it is about the development of practical guidance referring to the European chemicals legislation  REACH, the requirements under the  Biocidal Products Regulation, questions regarding the Global Harmonized System (GHS / CLP), the market requirements  (Manufacturing Restricted Substances Lists, Ecolabels etc.) or  initiatives for educational grants in the fields of surfactants and textile chemistry: The TEGEWA Management in Frankfurt is constantly trying to have their finger on its members’ pulse and to align with actual needs and requirements.
